Tratosflex cables are specifically designed for moving applications. They can supply power, control and signalling functions including fibre-optic cables and components operating on high speed applications up to 300 mt/min. Tratosflex ESDB cables have been successfully installed in some of the highest profile projects worldwide, including London Gateway, Jebel Ali Port in Dubai and the Busan Port terminal in Korea and, regularly, for leading crane company Konecranes’ Automated Stacking Cranes (ASC).
The range features a unique internal cable with a modified design, tightening the structure against the internal relative movement to accommodate high speed applications. This prevents twisting leading to possible breakage during high speed reeling (up to 300 mt/min). Due to the medium voltage rubber insulated and sheathed drum reeling cable, Tratosflex-ESDB cables can operate in temperatures from -60ºC to +90ºC. The latest generation of Tratosflex product combines manufacturing techniques with state of the art technology to create cables of phenomenal strength and flexibility. Tratosflex cable range is tested and approved by the following quality systems: CESI, CSI, BASEC, IQNet and AENOR.
