On the 5th November 2014, Tratos attended and hosted a stand at the Share Fair in Aberdeen. The event, hosted by Oil & Gas UK; the leading representative organisation for the UK offshore oil and gas industry – an organisation of which Tratos is a member – had a total of 1400 registered delegates this year.
With the success of the exhibition in Aberdeen, Tratos has been able to once again advertise our strong position within the UK oil and gas market and proved to attract a high level of interest for the company’s stand, thereby increasing contacts and company awareness. With one of our offices based in Aberdeen, the locality of the event helped to promote our position within the oil and gas industry in the UK.
Oil and Gas UK’s membership register consists of over 500 organisations; oil and gas producers and contractor companies alike. The exhibition served to be an ideal event for networking – procurement departments and supply chain personnel were in attendance and there was the possibility to book one-to-one meetings. Furthermore numerous global figures within the oil and gas industry, such as ConocoPhillips and Statoil were in attendance and gave presentations which included their upcoming projects and the requirements of these projects over the next 18-24 months.
Tratos has had an active involvement within the oil and gas industry for almost 50 years; with 50% of the company’s turnover being from within this industry. With the oil and gas sectors being Tratos’ primary market, this exhibition was the ideal platform from which to showcase Tratos’ extensive range of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic and electrical umbilical cabling for subsea oil extraction, along with oil & gas BS6883 and NEK606 cables. Tratos presented their cable range – including the company’s JBA collection, which achieved great acclaim within the industry after being the only cable system able to satisfy all of the stringent application specifications of the Phase 1 of the Jasmine discovery for ConocoPhillips back in 2012.
