Project: Centre Court at Wimbledon

Location: London, UK

Company: All England Lawn Tennis Club, Wimbledon

Cable type: Firesafe TW950

Tratos & All England Lawn Tennis Club, Wimbledon cooperation

Tratos is proud to supply a complete range of fire resistant cables to comply with the latest Standards and Codes of Practice covering fire detection, alarm systems, emergency lighting or other vital power supplies.

The company has in place a comprehensive modern fire testing facility on site to ensure cable integrity. Thanks to this facility it can produce cable for international projects that meets multiple nations’ standards.

Centre Court at Wimbledon needed cabling capable of safe and uninterrupted functionality as part of its voice evacuation and fire alarm system installed during refurbishment.

Wimbledon is one of the World’s most celebrated tennis events. Its famous Central Court, refurbished and fitted with a much-publicised new retractable roof, needed an alarm system to match.

Tratos is pleased to announce its Firesafe TW950 cable was chosen and used extensively throughout.  Some 20,000m of Tratos’ Firesafe TW950 fire resistant cable was installed, from 2 to 27 core in size.
