Tratos & Rizhao port cooperation
Rizhao port, the largest and busiest iron ore terminal in Asia, has chosen Tratosflex-ES cables for a total of fourteen machines since its opening in 2004.
The Tratosflex cables are running well on four truck-loaders, six stackers & reclaimers and four ship-unloaders made by three of the biggest port machine manufacturers in China: ZPMC, Wuxi Gongli Engineering Machinery Ltd. Co. and Changchun Power Generation Equipment Ltd. Co.
A spokesperson commented, “We completely trust and rely on the cables made by Tratos. All 14 jumbos are equipped with Tratos cable because their performance does not disappoint, even in this extremely demanding industry.”
Port of Rizhao
The Port of Rizhao is a natural deep-water seaport on the coast of the city of Rizhao, Shandong Province, People’s Republic of China, located on the southern shore of Shandong Peninsula, opening to the Yellow Sea. It has 46 deep-water berths in two main port areas (Lanzhao Port Area and Shijiu Port Area).
Rizhao Port Group Co., Ltd. operates port business. The Company provides iron ore transportation, oil and liquid chemicals transportation, container transportation, coal transportation, and other services. Rizhao Port Group also operates building manufacturing, financial business, and comprehensive services.
It is principally engaged in the operation of terminals and other port facilities, as well as the provision of loading and unloading, storage and other services in port areas. The Company operates through three segments:
- Loading and Unloading Service segment,
- Stockpiling Services segment
- Port Management segment.
The Company also involves in the leasing, maintenance and operation of port machineries, facilities and equipment; the provision of ship and port services; the provision of access to Internet services, sale of electric power and wastewater treatment, among others.
