International Business Leadership Prize from China for Tratos CEO

The CEO of a Liverpool-based global manufacturing company is to be honoured with one of China’s business community’s most prestigious awards.

The Big Ben Committee’s International Business Leadership Prize has been awarded to Knowsley-based Tratos Ltd CEO Dr Maurizio Bragagni MBA.

The Big Ben Award, organised by the British Chinese Youth Federation (BCYF) recognises the people who contribute most to the relationship between China and the nations it trades with.

Devised to help more people understand Chinese business, culture and development, the awards aim to celebrate high achievers within China and the rest of the world.

The award committee also focuses on young achievers across various fields, including technology, economy, education, culture, medical, sport and more.

With a goal to encourage greater professional entrepreneurial excellence within younger Chinese people and contribution to western countries’ business communities, the awards also have a charitable remit which sees it fund help for people in need.

The awards also seek to promote ‘brand China,’ incentivise personal achievement and spotlight the most outstanding young people in business, sport and the arts.

Previous luminaries to have received one of these awards include snooker World Champion, Junhui DING, celebrity violinist Vanessa-Mae Vanakorn Nicholson and House of Fraser Chief Operating Officer (COO) Peter Gross.

Tuscany-born Dr Bragagni, who has an MBA from Cass Business School, heads one of the most successful independent cable-makers and has championed a culture of innovation within the company.  He accepted the award in London on Friday (November 24th).
