Tratos UK celebrated success at this year’s Knowsley Business and Regeneration Awards when the international cable company received the award for Manufacturer of the Year.
The annual awards, held at Knowsley Safari Park’s Grand Marquee, recognise the creativity, enterprise and hard work of individuals and the organisations that contribute towards the borough’s economic prosperity.
This investment has not only created extra capacity and capability to increase market penetration but has also created a Tratos Academy that offers sustainable employment opportunities for Knowsley residents and helps ensure a pipeline of skills for the future.
Tratos, which received the award in recognition of its growth and continued investment in its facilities and people at Knowsley, added a purpose-built factory and a number of highly specialised cable production machines to its manufacturing facility.
Additional investment in equipment enabled the expanded Knowsley factory to drive turnover and create much-needed new jobs for the community.
