TRATOS® CW 1417 AERIAL – DROP WIRE

Suitable for connection to subscribers premises Plain solid copper conductors, solid PE insulation, PVC insulated steel support strands, polyester core wrap, ripcord, HDPE sheath This 4-pair self-supporting aerial cable is for use in the local access network. The cable uses Cable Drop wiring associated equipment and practices. The cable contains Polyethylene (Pe.) insulated plain copper conductors and is sheathed overall with polyethylene. The cable can be used for crossing high voltage cables up to 11kV.

Telecommunication / Telecommunication Copper / British Telecom

Tratos is a long-established manufacturer of Telecommunication Cables, a family of cables used for the transmission of Data, Information, Voice and Images. Production at Tratos covers almost all the installation needs of Telecommunication Cabling.

This 4-pair self-supporting aerial cable for use in the local access network. The cable uses Cable Drop wiring associated equipment and practices. The cable contains Polyethylene (Pe) insulated plain copper conductors and 3 brass plated steel wire PVC insulated support wires the cable is sheathed overall with high density polyethylene.

Drop wire provides the final link, from the Distribution Point, typically a ‘telegraph’ pole to the individual subscriber’s premises. Usually, the last link is a single span, but in some networks, a drop wire may follow a route of several aerial spans.

The cable can be used for crossing high voltage cables up to 11kV

In the more traditional double-D or figure of eight designs the strength member is separated from the cable by a web whereas in this design the strength members are included within the cable.

The cable itself meets or exceeds the requirements of CW 1417

If required Tratos is also able to supply an aluminium foil moisture barrier design or shotgun protected cables to CW 1252.
