TRATOS MTO®-Z – Trailing Coal Cutter Cable
COAL CUTTER CABLES FOR TRAILING OPERATION / NSSHCGEÖU
Used as power supply connection cable for mobile equipment in underground mining applications, such as coal shearer, tunnel driving machines and scoops (LHDs). (Z) Trailing Coal Cutter Cables are designed for free trailing operation and due to their special construction may be trailed for considerable distances behind the machine during operation.
The conductor has finely stranded copper tinned in class 5 (refer to DIN VDE 0295). The protective-earth conductor is a steel/Cu-stranded braid between the inner and outer sheath. The control core is double-concentric control/monitoring conductor elements in the outer interstice.
The insulation of TRATOS MTO with basic material EPR with compound type 3GI3 refers to DIN VDE 0207 part20. Electrical field control with an outer semiconductive layer of semiconductive cold-strippable rubber.
The core arrangement for this Trailing Coal Cutter Cable is in three main cores laid up, with double-concentric control/monitoring conductor elements in the outer interstice. Length of lay approx.6xD. The inner sheath is a vulcanized rubber inner sheath with primary material EPR type GM1B. The reinforced braid is made of steel/copper wires in a vulcanized bond between the inner and outer sheath. The outer sheath from TRATOS MTO is PCP in the compound type 5GM5. The colour of the outer sheath is yellow. The cores can be identified by black, blue, and brown colours, and control cores can be identified by blue. TRATOS MTO®-Z Trailing Coal Cutter Cable marking includes the manufacturing year, VDE, TRATOS MTO-Z, NSSHCGEÖU, the number of cores, and cross-section.
