TRATOS RS US SW SHEATHED SINGLE CORE
ROLLING STOCK POWER & CONTROL CABLES ACCORDING TO EN50264-2-1
TRATOS RS US-MW 1.8/3 or 3.6/6 kV Sheathed single core
Tratos manufacture a range of sheathed single core cable for use in rolling stock power and control cables, having special fire performance requirements as fixed wiring or where there is limited flexing.
Ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) forms the insulation and a sheath of cross-linked low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) elastomeric material, a synthetic rubber compound which affords very good durability that can resist heat, oil, vibration, chemical aggression.
EN50264-2-1 power & control cables cables, having special fire performances, with flexible conductors to BS EN 60228, with a-25C to +90C EI101, EI103 -40C to +90C EI102, EI104 core operating temperature in 1.8/3 kV and 3.6/6kV voltage grade.
The materials Tratos use have been developed over many years to provide required mechanical and thermal properties, fire performance requirements to International (IEC), British and European standards.
Tratos rolling stock cables comply with the strict technical requirements in terms of fire-performance for both interior and external use; EN 45545-2 (HL3 R15 & R16) and Transport for London (TfL) S1180 A9 Standard for rolling stock materials performance requirements.
Tratos EN50264-2-1 cables have the following properties; Halogen free, flame resistance, Low smoke, low toxicity, high chemical resistance, high mechanical properties, heat & cold resistance and ozone resistance.
Tratos rolling stock cables should always be installed and operated under the guidelines for selections and the installation in the standards BS EN 50355 and BS EN50343
- BS EN 45545-2 (HL3 R15 & R16)
- BS EN 50305
