BS 7917 SCOPE: The BS 7917 British Standard applies to cables for fixed wiring of lighting, power, control, instrumentation and propulsion circuits in ships and on mobile and fixed offshore units having a rated voltage up to and including 3.3/3.3 kV which have fire resistance (limited circuit integrity), the standard complements BS 6883.
