“We shall not fail or falter; we shall not weaken or tire. Give us the tools and we will finish the job!”
Winston Churchill
November has arrived and brought with it some of the worst weather this year. Yet in spite of this, TRATOS’s crack team of maintenance engineers have vowed to keep on working despite the severe rain and flood warnings in order to install exterior lighting at TRATOS’s Knowsley factory. The lighting forms part of the factories new high-tech security system which combines monitored cctv with motion sensors and recording equipment which create an impenetrable barrier around the site’s entire perimeter.
The entire system can be operated remotely and is being installed in order to allow stock to be stored outside, increasing warehouse capacity at the factory in order to keep pace with growing customer demand.
Head maintenance engineer Geoffrey Sculthorpe was so moved by his crew’s dedication to duty that he joined them in the freezing rain to boost moral and pitch in. When asked about his and his teams extraordinary efforts, he simply replied “All you need’s a bit of Dunkirk spirit!”.
