A rise in construction sector demand for cable manufacturers has supported Tratos’ growing portfolio of innovative cable products. Tratos Sales Manager Paul Mansfield, who is specially focused on this field in the UK, has also contributed to this success.
When he joined last summer, Mr Mansfield was briefed to focus on developing contractor relationships, having worked with cable accessory manufacturers on major projects and key accounts for the UK’s largest independent cable distributor.
Mr Mansfield said: “Coming from a distributor background, I have a slightly different approach, which enables Tratos to become more involved with contractors”.
“I’ve been working in and around the cable industry for more than 15 years. At that time, no two projects were the same. It’s a highly competitive market, but understanding the demands and what is most helpful to the installer and end-user is what it’s all about. If you can get this element right then ultimately your offer becomes more attractive”.
“Take for instance Construction Products Regulation (CPR). Tratos has worked hard to raise awareness of this issue across the industry – and ensure its own business is CPR ready. It placed Tratos in a strong position when CPR appeared in building specifications last year. By taking responsibility for these issues Tratos is positioning itself as a company, with which, contractors should be working more closely”.
He added: “Tratos is a family business, and there is passion and positivity among every part of the team. Although it has an established 50-year track record, the company maintains the attitudes and flexibility of a new business.”
