Tratos will showcase new products at TOC Europe 2025 after collecting major projects

Tratos will showcase one more year at TOC Europe in Rotterdam from June 17th to 19th at the Ahoy Exhibition Centre. The company’s booth, H50, is already a must-visit spot for visitors from ports all over the world. Here, they can relax and enjoy some Italian delicatessen directly from the heart of Tuscany while collecting information about crane cables.

At its 60th anniversary, the group will unveil new products for crane electrification, such as Reflective and Fluorescent reeling cables for STS, ASC, and E-RTG cranes, which will significantly improve health and safety at port machinery.

They will also emphasise their custom-made service for ports and terminals, which includes onsite service and advice from in-house experts with decades of experience or custom-made cable alternatives compatible with old cranes or cable brands that are no longer available on the market.

Strong portfolio in 2025

So far, 2025 has been incredibly successful for Tratos inside the market of crane cables for cargo handling mobile applications. Tratos not only keeps supplying spares efficiently to its major customers worldwide, but new customers are also being added to the existing portfolio, as they face supply chain challenges, in particular with ageing automated yards. Right now, more than 600 Automated Stacking Cranes (ASC) are being fed with TRATOSFLEX cables all over the world in the most demanding applications, and last year, more than 10 terminals passed their 10th anniversary milestone running their automated, high-speed yards on Tratos cables.

Major Global Port Operators continue to deposit their trust on TratosFLEX reeling cables, that has been busy with deliveries of flexible cables for major greenfield port projects for places such as Southampton (UK), London (U.K), Barcelona (Spain), Gdansk (Poland), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Virginia (USA), Genoa (Italy), Mersin (Turkey), Sines (Portugal)…..some of these projects have been delivered directly to the most prestigious Port Machinery OEMs in China and Europe, could that be the case of ZPMC, Gemma-Rainbow, KUNZ, KONECRANES or LIEBHERR.

On top of these, the Port & Maritime business unit is also reporting a substantial increase and a consolidation of Tratos as the brand of reference globally on the manufacture and supply of special cables for Shore Power or Cold Ironing, with marine classification approvals DNV, Lloyds and ABS. Tratos has always been at the forefront of innovation when it comes to designing, developing, and supplying cables for Alternative Marine Power systems (AMP). Shore Power (Also known as Cold Ironing) implementation is now on the increase due to different regulatory requirements, and as a proven tool to dramatically reduce the CO2 emissions at ports, nothing new for Tratos, which has been the most active player in this field for decades.
