Tratos Honoured Among the Founding Pillars of Italian Cable Excellence

At the ANIE AICE Shareholders’ Assembly, Tratos received a historic recognition for its enduring contribution to the evolution of the Italian cable and conductor industry.

The 2026 ANIE AICE Shareholders’ Assembly, held in Milan, marked a milestone that goes well beyond the ordinary rhythms of institutional life. Celebrating thirty years since the Association’s founding in 1996, the event brought together the leading names of Italy’s cable and electrical conductor supply chain — and Tratos stood proudly among those honoured.

Tratos was recognised as one of the historic member companies whose decades-long presence and active engagement have shaped the very character of the Association. In an industry defined by the relentless pace of regulatory, technological and market change, such continuity is not merely longevity — it is a testament to strategic foresight and unwavering commitment to quality.
At the event were representatives of Tratos Eng. Albano Bragagni, President of Tratos Group; Dr Ennio Bragagni Capaccini, Vice-President of Tratos Group; Eng. Elisabetta Bragagni Capaccini, CEO of Tratos Group.

The Assembly also reconfirmed Marcello Del Brenna, CEO Europe of Prysmian, for a second term as President of the Association for 2026–2028 — a continuity of leadership that reflects the sector’s desire for stability and clear strategic direction at a time of profound transformation in energy infrastructure across Europe.

Alongside Vice President Andrea Babini of I.C.E.L., the newly confirmed Board features Group Leaders representing every major product segment — from low-voltage cables to high-voltage systems, accessories, communication cables and winding conductors.

“We will work to further strengthen the Association’s role as a unified and authoritative representative of the entire electrical cable and conductor supply chain, with the aim of supporting the competitiveness of companies and accompanying them through regulatory, technical, and market challenges.”

Marcello Del Brenna, President ANIE AICE

For Tratos, this recognition is more than a commemorative plaque. It is a reaffirmation of what we have always believed: that building a better infrastructure for Europe’s energy future demands not just technical innovation, but the patient, principled work of industry-building — nurturing standards, shaping regulation, and standing alongside peers across three decades of transformation.

Tratos congratulate all award recipients, extends our warmest regards to Marcello Del Brenna on his reconfirmation, and looks forward to continued collaboration in the service of a more connected, sustainable and resilient Europe.

What is ANIE AICE?

ANIE AICE (Associazione Italiana Industrie Cavi e Conduttori Elettrici) is the association within Federazione ANIE that represents Italian companies operating in the sectors of energy cables, communication cables, and winding conductors. Its primary mission is to protect and promote the interests of the industry by developing broad strategies that foster sector growth, including promoting research and development of new products and technologies, as well as unified representation before Italian and European political institutions and technical standardisation bodies. The association is organised into six specialised groups covering low-voltage energy cables, medium- and high-voltage energy cables, cable accessories, communication cables, and winding conductors, collectively employing thousands of workers and generating billions of euros in annual turnover. ANIE AICE is also actively engaged in technical and regulatory activities at the international level, participating in bodies such as CENELEC, IEC, and Europacable, and plays a significant role in advising its members on European directives — most notably the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), which governs fire performance classifications for cables installed in buildings. Additionally, the association promotes environmental sustainability, conducts national market statistical analyses, and collaborates with key industry partners.
