Senate Campaign Prompts PEMA’s Vice President to stand down

Dr Maurizio Bragagni MBA has stood down as Vice President of PEMA, (Port Equipment Manufacturers Association) as his Italian Senate candidacy campaign gathers momentum.

CEO of innovation-led global cable business Tratos Cavi, which develops and manufactures some of the most technologically advanced cable for the ports industry, Dr Bragagni’s campaign is supporting his candidacy as one of Italy’s advocates for Italians in business abroad.

His Senate trail has seen him visit all of the EU countries in the forthcoming weeks to meet government and business leaders in the run up to the March election.

He will remain an active participant within PEMA – with ports representing an important part of the cable company’s business: hundreds of ports worldwide look to Tratos to provide bespoke product for their very particular requirements.

PEMA provides a forum and public voice for the global port equipment and technology sectors, reflecting their critical role in enabling safe, secure, sustainable and productive ports and thereby supporting world maritime trade.

The body is active in fostering good relations within the communities it represents and Dr Bragagni has been a pro-active supporter of these initiatives.

PEMA offers a forum for the exchange of views on global trends in port equipment and technology design, manufacture, operation and maintenance while promoting and supporting the global role of the port equipment and technology industries.

Dr Bragagni’s company has been an active innovator of port cabling for well over two decades, developing advances in automation that not only improve ports’ performance, but deliver a big step forward in safeguarding the people who work within the industry.

As a supplier of specialist cables Tratos works closely with customers to find better, more environmentally friendly solutions to their challenges in order to drive better, cleaner and safer performance.   Under Dr Bragagni’s leadership the company will continue to support PEMA’s objectives and work closely with the port industry.
