Tratos’ CEO and Chair, Dr Maurizio Bragagni OBE, was a guest at Buckingham Palace in June 2019 to join other Queen’s Award for Enterprise winners at an event to celebrate some of the best and most forward-thinking businesses in Britain.
Dr Bragagni met HRH Prince Charles and spoke with fellow recipients of the country’s most prestigious award for business.
Advanced technology cable maker Tratos won its Queen’s Award for Innovation; the company has worked hard to create a culture of innovation and has a reputation as the go-to company for developing solutions where none currently exist.
The coveted 2019 award was won by the company for its new cable sheathing compound, Tratos JBA®. The sheathing is tough enough to shrug off the most corrosive elements and protect cable function in the harshest of environments.
Commenting on winning the award, Dr Maurizio Bragagni said: “We were confident of the quality of our Tratos JBA® innovation and the advances it brings, but we were absolutely thrilled to learn it had been recognised with a Queen’s Award.”
