A rise in construction sector demand for cable manufacturer, Tratos’ growing portfolio of innovative cable products has been further supported by Tratos Sales Manager Paul Mansfield, who is specially focused in this field in the UK.
Having worked with cable accessory manufacturers and on major projects and key accounts for the UK’s largest independent cable distributor, Mr Mansfield’s brief, when he joined last summer, was to focus on developing contractor relationships.
Mr Mansfield said: “Coming from a distributor background I have a slightly different approach, one which I believe enables Tratos to become more involved with contractors”.
“I’ve been working in and around the cable industry for more than 15 years. In that time no two projects have been the same. It’s a highly competitive market but understanding the demands and what is most helpful to the installer and end user are what it’s all about. If you can get this element right then ultimately your offer becomes more attractive”.
“Take for instance Construction Products Regulation (CPR). Tratos has worked hard to raise awareness of this issue across the industry – and ensure its own business is CPR ready. It placed Tratos in a strong position when CPR started to appear in building specifications last year. By taking responsibility for these issues Tratos is positioning itself as a company, with which, contractors should be working more closely”.
He added: “Tratos is a family business and there is passion and positivity from every part of the team. Although it has an established 50-year track record, the company maintains the attitudes and flexibility of a new business.”
