Global cable manufacturer Tratos put fire safety and CPR at the heart of its Infrarail presence as it exhibited its portfolio of cables for mass transit and rail metro applications.
Tratos, which designs, manufactures and supplies to the railway infrastructure sector showcased a wide range of specialised cable solutions including Medium and High Voltage cable for substation connection and switchgear; Data and Telecommunication Cable (copper & fibre optic), Signalling Power & Control cables and station & premises cable.
The stand proved a focal point for industry engineers from London Underground and Network Rail interested in finding out more about the company’s bespoke and fibre optic cables.
Tratos, which always extends generous Italian hospitality at Infrarail, was delighted to join the debate around the NR digital railway programme, TfL/LU Deep tube upgrade programme (DTUP) and HS2 (phase one) railway projects.
With LUL approval (S1108) for its Track Feeder cable and the development of a series of enhanced performance cable for the industry Tratos has earned a place as a supplier of safe and innovative cable for rail.
Tratos is already supplying a range of fully compliant cable to Transport for London’s Four Lines Modernisation (4LM) project.
The 4LM project updates four of the most important sub surface lines: Circle, District, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan which between them account for 40 percent of underground traffic
To date Tratos has also supplied more than 2,000, 000 km of axle counter cable, low voltage signalling power and control cable to Thales GTS for the 4LM programme.
