International cable innovator Tratos turned out to support Government initiatives in Scotland and Wales, joining the Italian Trade Agency at events in each nation.
Tratos joined delegates at National Museum, Cardiff, in company with the Director of the Italian Trade Agency and the Italian Ambassador, companies exporting to Italy and representatives of the Welsh Government.
UK Sales Director for Tratos, Chris Harris, attended a presentation by Italian Trade Agency Director Roberto Luongo and a number of Welsh Government sector briefings covering advanced materials and manufacturing, energy and environment and construction before a presentation exploring Wales as a Global Centre of Rail Excellence.
Tratos director John Light joined a two-day international trade event in Scotland, facilitated through the Scottish branch of the Italian Chamber of Commerce.
Ambassador of Italy, Raffaele Trombetta, welcomed delegates to a series of meetings, the first at Glasgow’s Chamber of Commerce where representatives of the city’s business community and public offices joined companies interested in trading with Italy. Later delegates met with Guest of Honour Cabinet Secretary Fiona Hyslop at an evening reception.
The final day saw the group shift to Edinburgh for meetings with the city’s regeneration leaders and Chamber members and representatives of Scottish Development International and Scottish Enterprise.
