The ceremony for the Egidio Capaccini Award will be held on Sunday the 7th of November 2021 in Pieve Santo Stefano, headquarters of the Tratos Italian branch.
The initiative, which has been happening for years now, is aimed at awarding students from the local communities that have achieved the highest grades in their final year of middle school and high school. Last year the ceremony was organised outdoors because of the covid-19 pandemic social distancing rules, this year, following the ease of restriction in Italy, the ceremony will be held in the municipal theatre “Giovanni Papini” of this small town situated in the heart of Tuscany. Members of the municipal administration and of the Bragagni-Capaccini family will take part in the ceremony. On the same day, there will be a memorial ceremony to remember all of those who have given their lives during the two Wars.
The students from middle school that will receive the award are: Giulia Cecci, Michele Ferrari, Gioia Fontana, Irene Locci e Diletta Rampi. Students from high school that will receive the award as they obtain 100/100 in their final high school exam are: Ilaria Biagioli, Boutjih Nabil, Filippo Cavalli, Sabrina Livi e Ada Manenti.
The award is named after Egidio Capaccini, founder of Tratos Cavi Spa who played a crucial role in the development and rebirth of this small town after World War II. The prize exemplifies Tratos’ commitment and culture to value and support its local community in order to ensure continuous development and innovation and to offer local students broader opportunities.
