Tratos, renowned for the development of innovative cables for mobile applications at ports, will exhibit its high-performance cable solutions at TOC Americas in Lima, Peru, this month (17th-19th October).
TOC Americas (The Terminal Operations Conference) is one of the world’s leading shipping, ports and terminal events and takes place in Peru – one of the World’s key shipping hubs – for the first time in its 17-year history.
On stand and throughout the event, Tratos will highlight the benefits of its Tratosflex range for moving applications which includes cables for mono-spiral and multi-spiral reeling; basket reeling, festoons and spreaders. Its cables supply power, control and signalling functions including fibre-optic cables and components operating on high speed applications up to 300 mt/min.
Tratosflex ESDB cables are used worldwide for ASC, STS and ERTG cranes, without any corkscrew effect. At Euromax in Rotterdam, Tratos has recently marked nine years continuous running of its ground-breaking high-speed medium-voltage reeling cables. The cables were installed in what was at the time, the fastest and most efficient automated rail mounted gantry cranes (ARMGs) in the world. These high-performance cables are now installed in more than 300 ports around the world.
Tratos will also showcase Tratos Tech, an App developed to speed up cable development for customers. The Tratos App allows customers to access Tratos’ range of cable solutions from their mobile devices and relevant, real-time information and product availability on the go.
The App can also be used to post questions, and upload technical documents, for Tratos’ technical team to respond to. Through a registered private access area, users can see their cable order history, register a drum installation and download certificates.
TOC Americas is expected to attract manufacturers and suppliers of goods and services to the shipping, ports and terminals industry and presents the latest developments and technologies. It also incorporates an international technical conference to discuss key industry issues and exhibition.
The Pan Americas event is aimed at port and terminal professionals as well as those who own, move and handle containerised cargo.
Tratos can be found at Stand C2 at TOC Americas.
