TRATOS ASNZS MTO-A&B® – 1,1/1,1 kV
MINING CABLES BASED ON AS/NZS 1972:2006
Type A and Type B 1,1/1,1 kV Elastomeric Mine feeder cable with individually screened power cores. For use between a transportable substation and associated equipment such as a. distribution control box or distribution centre.
These cables are semi-flexible cable which are not required to flex or bend in service but may be required to be bent or flexed to enable connection to be made to equipment. Typically the cables are installed as fixed cables on the roof or rib in the mine but they may also be installed directly on roadways against the rib. The cables are physically robust in construction as they are required to be moved frequently with the sequence of mining.
The construction of Type A feeder cables are three elastomer insulated, individually screened power cores laid up around an elastomer centre filler, with three elastomer insulated and protected pilot cores disposed in the outer interstices, filled and sheathed overall with heavy duty elastomeric compound.
The construction of Type B feeder cables are three elastomer insulated, individually screened power cores laid up around an elastomer centre filler, filled and sheathed overall with a heavy duty elastomeric compound.
Cables intended for reeling and trailing applications are covered by AS/NZS 1802, Electric cables—Reeling and trailing—For underground coal mining purposes.
