BENEFITS

All Tratos High Temperature Silicone cables are able to withstand temperatures ranging from -60ºC up to +180ºC

Tratos Fluropolymer cables have an even wider temperature range from -70ºC up to +260ºC cables made from Fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) are tough and so can be supplied with thinner insulations than silicone yet FEP and PTFE are both resistant to aggressive chemicals even at elevated temperature

RANGE

Silicone cable range includes:

• SIA: Silicone insulated with a solid conductor
• SIAF: Silicone insulated with a flexible conductor
• SIAF/GL: Silicone insulated with a flexible conductor and a glass fibre braid
• SIHF: Multicore, silicone insulated and sheathed with a flexible conductor available with glass braid, copper screen or galvanised wire braid armour.

Silicone cables for signs and luminous-discharge-tube installations operating from a no-load rated output voltage exceeding 1000 V but not exceeding 10,000 V (neon sign cables)

Tratos also offers an equivalent range of FEP and PTFE insulated cables 

APPLICATION

Tratos High-Temperature Silicone cables are ideal for uses as internal wiring of appliances, power supplies and electronics where no mechanical protection is required. When a limited amount of mechanical protection is required, the range is available with an overall fibreglass braid.

The EN 50143 range of cables are used primarily in high-voltage neon sign installations and in the internal wiring of ignition equipment. These cables are designed to provide high voltage ratings of up to 10 kV whilst retaining the high-temperature characteristics of silicone cables.

FEP insulated cables offer the same high-temperature properties as silicones but are tough and also resistant to aggressive chemicals, making these cables suitable for automotive uses, electrical appliances and medical equipment.
