The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies. Among the standards that the organisation has issued, there is the ISO 9001, to which Tratos fully complies.
ISO 9001 standard aims at promoting the adoption of a process approach when developing, implementing and improving the effectiveness of a quality management system in order to meet customers’ requirements and thus enhance their satisfaction. Indeed the standard focuses on customer focus, top management motivation and implication and continuous improvement processes.
The standard stresses the importance of quality management systems which can play a pivotal role in strategically improving companies’ performance but also in providing a solid basis for sustainable development initiatives.
As ISO itself mentions, the implementation of ISO Standards is not only a practice that allows organisations to better compete and manage their resources but it also supports sustainable development. Indeed, ISO, as Tratos, fully adheres to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations with its standards attempting to support all or some of those goals.
By adhering to the ISO 9001 Tratos is actively and daily contributing to the development of goals 1, 9, 12 and 14 as reported on the ISO webpage for the aforementioned standard.
It is by having decided to adopt such a Standard that Tratos shows its commitment to the creation of a more sustainable world.
Moreover, being an international cable manufacturer Tratos has gained approval for ISO 9001 from AENOR and BSI.
