These are a series of videos created by Tratos Cable Academy illustrating various aspects of cable manufacturing:
Electrical cable tests at Tratos
This video was filmed at the Tratos UK cable manufacturer plan in the UK, inside the Faraday Cage for Medium and High Voltage cable tests in Merseyside. Peter Waterworth, the Technical and Development Director at Tratos UK, tells us about the rigorous electrical cable test in Tratos. Watch the video.
Chemical cable tests at Tratos
Tratos has chemical laboratories for testing. These chemical test facilities allow Tratos to do, shall we say, the old-fashioned wet chemistry where you go in with reserves of chemicals, test tubes, funnels, and the like. But also, we have the latest electronic analytical test equipment. Watch the video.
Cables Fire Tests at Tratos
Tratos has chemical laboratories for testing. These chemical test facilities allow Tratos to do, shall we say, the old-fashioned wet chemistry where you go in with reserves of chemicals, test tubes, funnels, and the like. But also, we have the latest electronic analytical test equipment. Watch the video.
Physical Cable Tests at Tratos
Tratos has chemical laboratories for testing. These chemical test facilities allow Tratos to do, shall we say, the old-fashioned wet chemistry where you go in with reserves of chemicals, test tubes, funnels, and the like. But also, we have the latest electronic analytical test equipment. Watch the video.
Independent Cable Testing
At Tratos, we subject most of our cables to independent third-party testing. Our primary approval body is the British Approval Service for Electric Cables. They take samples to their laboratories and conduct all the necessary electrical, physical, or fire-related tests. We rely on their feedback. Watch the video.
