The company’s Board of Directors has fully aligned itself with the highest industrial governance standards by adopting the Code of Conduct for public appointments. To improve the structures and the guiding strategies, already in 2021, executive and non-executive members must be in a position to work according to the highest personal and professional standards, following the directives of the Code itself. The legislation clearly establishes the guidelines for the Boards of Directors of public bodies, and these directives are an integral part of the terms and conditions for appointing members. In addition to defining expectations, the regulation also lists the parties to be excluded: intolerance, harassment, bullying or other discriminatory acts and therefore, any behaviour outside the Code is considered a violation of the terms of appointment.
The Code also includes the provisions of existing disciplinary documents that refer to the responsibilities and obligations of board members, and by adopting it fully or even ahead of its time, Tratos paved the way for best business practices while always maintaining its policy and standards to the highest production and commercial levels.
