TRATOS WINS BEST BUSINESS AWARD
Global cable innovator Tratos has been named winner of Best Innovation category at the 2018 Best Business Awards (BBA).
Tratos, which has manufacturing facilities in the UK and Italy and offices worldwide, was chosen for the top prize by a BBA panel of independent expert judges.
Tratos stood out for creating a culture of innovation that touches all aspects of its business making it the `go to’ company for bespoke infrastructure solutions, many with implications for sustainable energy use.
Commenting on Tratos’ win, judges’ chairman Sir Michael Lockett said: “Tratos UK has revolutionised the cable market with its new innovative safety coating. The coating, Tratos JBA®, was jointly developed with the company’s headquarters in Italy, and is fire-resistant to the highest of standards, acid proof and non-corrosive and able to function in the worst of natural and industrial environments.
“The impact Tratos JBA® has had on the business is astounding. Sales have leapt by a staggering 1,900% over the past four years! Congratulations to Tratos for doing its research into the failings of existing cables and generating a major breakthrough in electrical cables.”
