TRATOSFLEX ESDB FO Medium voltage Fibre Optic cables (N) TSCGEWOU according to standard VDE 0250 p.813 (as applicable) and HD 620 S2 is a TRATOS designed and manufactured flexible FO cable for cable reels on all kinds of cranes for material handling. Designed as a response to a requirement for a high speed, high pulling tension and highly torsion-resistant cable for reeling on end feed and centre feed applications.
This cable is another member of the highly flexible range of TRATOSFLEX crane cables for power and data transmission in applications where the cable moves in operation.

Its unique cable design focuses on tightening the internal structure, granting the cable exceptional strength and flexibility in a cable with a reduced outer diameter. This design prevents twisting and breakage and lasts longer under constant severe operating conditions, thus providing a reliable electrical feed and communication link to the equipment to which it is connected.

TRATOSFLEX ESDB also features the special award-winning compound JBA (better than the 5GM5) as its outer sheath, a conductor more flexible than Cl. 5 DIN VDE EN 60228 VDE 0295, as well as a special custom-made centre support with anti-torsion protection, an Optical Fibre unit, can be supplied on request, either single mode (62,5/125) or multimode (9/125). These successful designs proven in Ports around the world allow these crane cables to outperform rivals on cranes in ports across the globe at speeds up to 300 metres per minute (mpm).

Today TRATOSFLEX cables are installed in more than 300 ports & terminals worldwide, operating in the most demanding applications for prestigious global operators, including manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic yards. Its unique construction and materials make this reeling cable suitable for crane travelling speeds up to 300 m.p.m and are suitable for both end and centre feed applications, even when crossing over the feeding point at high speeds. This cable is recommended for all kinds of mobile equipment inside of ports, including the most challenging reeling applications. From STS cranes (specially recommended for pull & store system) to RMG. TRATOSFLEX ESDB-FO is most often used worldwide on automation and electrification projects on the following machinery types as a medium voltage feed and secure data transmission link, ERTG (Electric Rubber Tyred Gantry), ASC (Automatic Stacking Crane) and ARMG (Automatic Rail Mounted Gantry) cranes

Available as standard in the following Rated Voltages 3,6/6 kV, 6/10 kV, 8,7/15 kV, 12/20 kV, and other voltages available on request.
