Reeling Cables

Tratosflex crane cables are specifically designed for continuous reeling onto and off drums or reels. They can supply power, control and signalling functions including fibre-optic cables and components operating in high-speed reeling applications up to 300 m/min.

Tratos is a recognised leader in the design, manufacture and supply of reeling cables, with more than 20 years of experience in the port and maritime sector.

TratosFlex Reliability

Tratos designs each of its crane cable families to suit the specific application and duty. An example of this is the Tratos ESDB cable series for high-speed reeling applications, where tightening of the structure prevents unwanted internal movement of components, leading to better performance and extended cable life. This unique design feature prevents twisting, which can lead to possible conductor breakage, during high-speed reeling (up to 300 m/min) operations.

Due to the use of rubber insulations, fillers and sheaths developed and mixed internally by Tratos, Tratosflex-ESDB reeling cables can operate in temperatures from -50ºC to +90ºC. The robust rubber insulations and sheaths used by Tratos ensures outstanding abrasion resistance, flexibility and protection.

The latest generation of Tratosflex products combines manufacturing techniques with state of the art technology to create cables of phenomenal strength and flexibility.

This crane cable is suitable for unrestricted use outdoors and indoors, resistant to sunlight, ozone, moisture and aggressive chemicals.
