Tratos manufactures reeling cables for moving applications. Tratosflex has a successful track record of many years of continuous operation all around the world. Tratos designs and manufactures bespoke reeling cables with the highest standard of quality and durability.
Tratosflex cables are specifically designed for moving applications. They can supply power, control and signalling functions including fibre-optic cables and components operating on high-speed applications up to 300 m/min.
Tratosflex-ESDB cables have been successfully installed in some of the highest-profile projects worldwide, including London Gateway, Jebel Ali Port in Dubai and the Busan Port Terminal in Korea. Leading crane companies such as Konecranes and ZPMC use Tratos cables. Tratos is a major global player in the design, manufacture and servicing of medium voltage cables for container handling equipment. Tratos is a world leader in the manufacture of reeling cables, with more than 20 years of experience in the port and maritime sector.
The Tratos port cables range features a unique internal cable with a modified design, tightening the structure against the internal relative movement to accommodate high-speed applications. This prevents twisting, leading to possible breakage, during high-speed reeling (up to 300 m/min). Due to the medium voltage rubber insulated and sheathed drum reeling cables, Tratosflex-ESDB cables can operate in temperatures from -60ºC to +90ºC. The latest generation of Tratosflex products combines manufacturing techniques with state of the art technology to create cables of phenomenal strength and flexibility.
