TRATOSFLAT and TRATOSFLAT-FO medium voltage flat power cables (N) TSCGEWOU; is a TRATOS designed and manufactured flexible flat cable for cable reels on all kinds of cranes used for material handling, with special performance characteristics and high resistance to tension, specially recommended for end feed applications or medium/ low travelling speed cranes. Although this cable requires a cable reel set wider than the equivalent circular cable, the small minor axis allows for more cable on the drum than a circular design. This cable is another member of the wide range of TRATOSFLEX crane cables for power and data transmission in applications where the cable moves in operation. Its unique cable design focuses on the internal structure, granting the cable great strength and flexibility combined with reduced outer dimension and weight. This design prevents breakage and lasts longer under constant severe operating conditions for providing a reliable electrical feed and communication link to the equipment it connects. TRATOSFLAT and TRATOSFLAT-FO also features an outer sheath red colour polychloroprene Tratosflat OS, equivalent to 5GM5, also if required screened phase conductors and as an option Optical Fibre cable (9/125 Monomode or 62,5/125 multimode). This successful design allows these cable to outperform rivals on cranes in various ports, mines and power plants around the world. Today TRATOSFLEX cables are installed in more than 300 ports & terminals worldwide in the most demanding applications for prestigious global operators, including manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic yards.
