TRATOSMART-DB low voltage power cable (N) STHOU-J, / TRATOSGREEN-DB – (N)SHTOU-J (Reduced halogens and reduced toxicity), is a TRATOS designed and manufactured flexible low voltage cable for cable reels on all types of cranes for material handling, it was designed and developed in response to a requirement for a LV cable for high speed, high pulling tension and high torsion resistance for reeling on end and centre feed applications. TRATOSMART-DB®-NSHTOU-J and TRATOSGREEN-DB-FO®-NSHTOU-J cables are members of the highly flexible range of crane cables for control and data transmission in applications where the cable moves in operation.

TRATOSGREEN-DB-FO®-NSHTOU-J cables (Reduced halogens and reduced toxicity) are recommended for applications where enhanced fire performance (LSZH) is required. The unique design of these cables focuses on tightening the internal structure, granting the cable exceptional strength and flexibility in a cable with a reduced outer diameter; this design prevents twisting and breakage and lasts longer under constant severe operating conditions, thus providing a reliable electrical feed to the equipment it is connected to.

TRATOSMART-DB®-NSHTOU-J also features a Black outer sheath, special compound Tratos-JBA-OS (5GM5 level if required), also if required, a conductor more flexible than Cl. 5 DIN VDE EN 60228 VDE 0295 and anti torsion protection..

TRATOSGREEN-DB-FO®-NSHTOU-J (Reduced halogens and reduced toxicity) features a Low Smoke Zero Halogen sheath having the same robust characteristics as the other Tratos sheathing compounds. These successful designs proven in Ports worldwide allow these cables to outperform rivals on cranes in various ports worldwide.

Today, TRATOSFLEX reeling cables are installed at more than 300 ports & terminals worldwide in the most demanding applications for prestigious global operators, including manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic yards. Its unique construction and materials make these cables suitable for high-speed centre and end feed applications, including high-speed over-the-centre feeding point. These crane cables are especially recommended for the Electrification of RTG in Low voltage (E-RTG) due to the travelling speeds and pulling tensions. The design of these reeling cables can be customised, including Fibre Optics or screened pairs for communication, depending on the requirements and functions of the E-RTG. Equally applicable and specially durable for various types of mobile equipment used in ports, mining, shipyards and other industrial sectors, they can be found providing power to STS container cranes, Ship Unloaders (SU), Stacker Reclaimer (SR), Multipurpose Cranes these are just a few of the types of cranes where this cable is used.
