Airport Cables

Tratos produce an extensive range of Airport Cables for use indoors and outdoors at airports around the world; these cables are manufactured strictly in accordance with National Standards, International Standards and Aerospace Regulations. 

No one knows yet how the airports of tomorrow will look and operate, what is clear, however, is that just like today’s airports the safety of passengers, crew and those who work at airports, will still be of paramount importance.

Tratos continually invests in the latest technology, materials and human resources needed to deliver a wide spectrum of specialised airport cable solutions: from Medium voltage and Low voltage power cables, Data and Telecommunication Cable (both copper & fibre optic), Signalling, Control and Instrumentation cables used on conveyors, Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) cables and aircraft ground supply cables.

Tratos manufactures a complete range of AGL cables for Primary and Secondary supply of Approach lighting, Runway lighting, Taxiway lighting and Guidance signs for both Traditional and Intelligent airfields.

Tratos supplies 400Hz cables for both flexible and fixed installation duty supplying aircraft, computers, communication and radio equipment helping to cut engine emissions and assist in achieving a speedy turnaround of the aircraft at airports worldwide.

Fixed installation cables can be supplied to distribute 400hz power around the airport buildings and aprons. Flexible airport cables can be supplied to carry the power along airport passenger bridges, through crocodiles and as the final connection to the aircraft from mobile power supplies.

If required Tratos also manufactures and supplies High Voltage (HV) Cables and Extra High Voltage EHV) Cables up to 245 kV.

Tratos’ extensive range of Low Voltage (LV) Power cables are manufactured with single or multi-core copper or aluminium conductors, thermoplastic or crosslinked insulation and sheathing, with screening or armouring as required.
