Tratos Oil & Gas JBA® is a special cable range designed and manufactured to both BS 6883 and BS 7917 available with the award winning unique Tratos Oil & Gas JBA® sheathing compound. The BS 6883 JBA® family of cables are mud resistant, flame retardant to extreme temperatures and capable of withstanding the extreme conditions encountered offshore. The BS 7917 JBA® family of cables are mud resistant, fire resistant to extreme temperatures and capable of withstanding extreme conditions including water and impact.
Tratos JBA® sheathing compound matches the environmental conditions found indoor or outdoor onboard ships and offshore installations – a saliferous and corrosive atmosphere, 100% humidity, water spray and deluge, mineral oils, hydraulic oils, crude oil and diesel fuel.
These cables are available with Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) insulations (BS 6883) or Mica glass tape/Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) insulations (BS 7917) in Armoured or Unarmoured designs, screened or unscreened with halogen free (LSZH) sheaths.
Tratos Oil & Gas cables are constructed to be compact and circular they are designed to withstand the conditions of reeving, temporary support and glanding into equipment and through bulkheads, that are accepted practices in the shipbuilding and offshore platform refitting industry.
